Community clean up day turns into a quick response tree fire!

TimberTech headed out to Three Rivers, MI to help the Latvian community clean up an area of their summer camp. This area was filled with brush and tree saplings that was covering a beautiful view of the camp’s near by lake, Long Lake. TimbeTech, along with other volunteers, helped to clear the area to get a better view from the dining hall and get some of the larger trees that could cause damage to the area below. All the brush and dead wood was burned for an easy and warm clean up.

Right at the end of the day, when the work was done and everyone was enjoying the warmth of their hard work, a dead branch on a nearby tree caught fire from the heat below. TimberTech’s owner, Paul Finkel, and partner, Peteris Abeltins, quickly sprang to action to save the tree and get the branch cut. It was quite the excitement and a good safety check to always look at whats above you before starting a fire!
